Lake or the Beach...which do you prefer?

Both locations are very peaceful and serene. But if I had to choose it would definitely be the beach. The beach is....I don't know just how to explain... so tranquil and calming to my soul and just takes me to a whole other place when I'm there. I travel to beaches often and they are frequently my first pick vacation spots even in the cold months. The lake on the other hand in my opinion is perfect if you own a boat to ride the lake and fish. I don't care to much for swimming in a lake unless it is crystal clear. Lake water to me is a little uncertain especially when you can not see the bottom. All in all, either location are great destinations. With great traveling companions, both of nature's beautiful creations can be made into an awesome vacation.
